Welcome from our Headteacher

Welcome to Hazlemere Church of England Combined School & Nursery

I am delighted to welcome you to Hazlemere Church of England Combined School & Nursery. I hope our website inspires you to come visit us to see for yourselves just how wonderful we are!

Our school vision is 'Encourage one another and build one another up' (1 Thessalonians 5:11) and our motto is 'Nurture Every Talent'.

Those words, 'encourage one another and build one another up' encapsulate precisely how we support one another at our lovely school, from how the children are kind to each other and encourage one another to do their best, from how we as colleagues support one another to deliver the highest standards of education possible, to how we encourage our families and community to be involved in everyday life in school.

At our core, the school is founded on a firm Christian foundation. Our vision and values are embedded into all aspects of our school life and guide thinking, behaviour and decisions at all levels. The values of ‘love’ and ‘respect’ underpin all relationships in school and, together, the six values form a code of behaviour understood and respected by all. We ensure that each and every member of our school knows they are respected and valued.

We are proud of our holistic and inclusive approach to learning, along with our commitment to promoting positive emotional well-being and mental health. We strive to enable children to reach their full potential and flourish personally, emotionally, socially and academically. Our broad curriculum is carefully planned, progressive, relevant and engaging, and supported by a wealth of enrichment activities including school visits and theme days. Children are encouraged to identify their interests, talents and abilities; we seek to encourage and enable them to maximise their true potential.

I do hope you enjoy finding out about our fantastic school, and that you choose us to start your child on their path of learning, discovery and flourishing.
